Relax and enjoy the mountains in this exceptional 3 bedroom duplex apartment.
From April to October the spa village of Brides-les-Bains specializes in treating weightloss, arthritis and rhumatism. From December to April take to the slopes of Meribel in the world famous 3 Valleys ski area via the telecabine l'Olympe.
Enjoy the delicious mountain air in the National Park of La Vanoise.
Ashley's place is right in the centre of Brides les Bains, a lovely little town with authentic French restaurants and live music, a few minutes walk to the ski lift which in less than half an hour takes you right into the centre of Meribel (it's also right across the street from the spa if that's more your thing!). It's right opposite a ski rental shop too which was useful for us. Even though it's right in the middle of things the apartment itself is really quiet and has its own private parking. The beds are very comfortable and we really enjoyed blasting the heat up with the furnace in the kitchen and big log supply there to use so it was nice and warm. The wifi was good for 4 of us and we made use of Ashley's DVD collection. Downstairs (1st floor above a newsagents) are two double bedrooms, the open plan kitchen/lounge and a bathroom with a toilet that can be shut off from the bathroom so used separately and also a washing machine. Upstairs is the private master with semi-open plan bathroom with bath, toilet and sink. Check in and out with Kellie was really easy and we were given a lovely welcome hamper of local goods, we also met up with Ashley for ski lessons (he's an instructor and guide) and he gave us lots of good tips for the area! Brides is a good location for skiing, it has lots of places to eat etc but prices are a lot more reasonable than the other resorts and it's much more French than other resorts. It's well located for getting to the other valleys too. Thanks for having us Ashley!
